MPS Still Discussing Plan For Montgomery Mall

The Montgomery Public School Board is still debating whether or not to purchase more of the old Montgomery Mall to use for schools.

The school system already owns the old Parisian building, but was considering buying the JC Penney building as well.

The board heard two reports, one of which discussed another way to move schools, including LAMP and MTEC, into other buildings, and just how much that might cost.

But they also discussed how much money the schools currently need to keep running where they are.

No decisions were made today. School board members say it may come up again at the next board meeting.
