Two people killed in Macon County crash

A two-vehicle crash has killed two people in Macon County.

Alabama State Troopers say 56-year-old Larry Johnson of the Russell County town of Hurtsboro was driving a pickup truck that hit a car head-on. The driver of the car was 33-year-old Santoyas Jackson of Columbus, Georgia.

Investigators say both Johnson and Jackson were pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck happened just before 7:30PM last night on U.S. Highway 80, about 12 miles south of Auburn.
