Tuskegee Nursing Home Closes

A Tuskegee nursing home has closed its doors after it was stripped of its eligibility for Medicare and Medicaid patients.
Tuskegee Mayor Johnny Ford says all 55 residents of the nursing home have been relocated, some to Magnolia Haven Nursing Home, which is also in Tuskegee.
At one time, Salem Nursing Home was home to more than 100 patients.
Ford says the city is working to re-open the facility under new management, possibly with cooperation from the city’s remaining nursing home.
