Man shot and killed in Montgomery; police charge suspect

Montgomery police say they have charged a suspect after a man was shot and killed Friday night.

Police say 39-year-old Rechardo Wright of Montgomery was found shot at around 6:10PM in the 1700 block of Lanier Lane. That is just west of E.D. Nixon Avenue.

Wright was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators later determined the shooting happened in the 300 block of Fairview Avenue, which is near the S. Hull Street intersection.

Police say they have charged 22-year-old Ladarius Arrington of Montgomery with murder. Arrington is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
