Man killed in crash on Interstate 65 in Chilton County

A man has been killed in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 in Chilton County.

Alabama State Troopers say 73-year-old Robert Johnson, Jr., of Price, Mississippi, was driving an SUV that left the roadway and hit a pickup truck that was parked on the shoulder with no one inside.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened at around 5:20 this morning about three miles south of Jemison.
