MPD opens homicide investigation after victim in recent shooting dies

Montgomery police have opened up a homicide investigation after the victim in a recent shooting has died.

The shooting happened Sunday, December 3 around 2:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Lake Street.

Once officers and fire medics arrived, they found 38-year-old Brandon Steele, of Montgomery, with a gunshot wound.  Steele was taken to the hospital where he later died on December 11.
