Prattville Fire Department rescues people, animals from flood waters
Prattville firefighters have rescued people and animals from floodwaters in the Candlestick neighborhood Tuesday morning after heavy rains created flooding.
Firefighters say they rescued 13 people and six animals from various homes in the neighborhood, which is just off South Memorial Drive/U.S. Highway 31 north of the Alabama River.
No one has been injured, firefighters say. They are continuing to monitor conditions.
