Montgomery Catholic Men’s Varsity Wrestling Team claims their first Region 2 1-4A Championship

The Catholic Knights Wrestling Team claim their first 2 1-4A Region Championship in program history. To claim the region title, the Knights took down Reeltown 46-36, Beulah 54-28, PCA 42-39, and St. James with a one-point tiebreaker 37-36.
The Knights also wish to thank Julian McPhillips for the dedication and support he has shown to the program since it’s start 14 years ago. When the wrestling program was first established at Catholic, there was only a varsity team, but because of the support shown by McPhillips the program has expanded with the addition of a Varsity Girls Team and a JV Boys Team.
