With Alabama’s success on the football field that has spanned generations, it’s hard to believe that the Crimson Tide had never had a Heisman Trophy winner.
That changed after Nick Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa. Now the Crimson Tide has four winners.
It started with running backs Mark Ingram in 2009 and Derrick Henry in 2015.
Then wide receiver DeVonta Smith took the prize in 2020.
That was followed by quarterback Bryce Young in 2021.
Beyond these greats, the NFL is full of players who learned from him.
That’s not to mention all of the coaches in college and in the NFL who will carry on his legacy for years to come.
