Suspect Sought in Morgan County Triple Murder was Divorcing Victim
DANVILLE, Ala. (AP) – Court documents show the suspect wanted in a triple slaying in North Alabama had filed for divorce from one of the victims. Police say 58-year-old Carson Peters is accused of capital murder in the deaths of 54-year-old Teresa Peters and two others on Sunday in Morgan County.
According to reports, court documents show Carson Peters had filed for divorce in January. A filing from Teresa Peters three days before the shooting deaths showed she asked the judge to hold Carson Peters in contempt for allegedly locking some of her belongings in a shed.
Carson Peters had not been arrested as of Tuesday morning.
