Florida man killed in Montgomery County crash

A single-vehicle accident in Montgomery County has claimed the life of a Florida man.

ALEA tells Action 8 News that the accident happened around 3:30 a.m. Saturday on Alabama 110 near the 12 mile marker, approximately three miles west of Fitzpatrick.

Troopers say 25-year-old Jacob Daniels, of Graceville, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time, was fatally injured when the car he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Daniels was taken to Baptist East Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
