Three local football players earn ASWA recognition
High School Football
On Tuesday at the Alabama Sportswriters annual Mr. Football Luncheon, three local athletes received recognition for their play over the 2023 high school football season.
Earning the honor of “Back of the Year” for 3A was K.J. Jackson of St. James School and Arkansas Signee. Earning the same honor for the AISA division was Clayton Hussey of Lowndes Academy.
One other local athlete earned the “Lineman of the Year” award for 4A and that was BTW-Tuskegee’e Joseph Phillips who is also an Auburn signee.
