Rain Is Taking Aim At Our Weekend
Our dry weather pattern continues to remain in place for now. We’re expecting the dry conditions to continue through Friday. A sun/cloud mix along with southerly winds will allow temps to warm nicely into the lower to mid 70s by Friday afternoon. The warmer temps continue into the weekend but our sky will cloud up as rain returns and sticks around for a few days.
In the meantime, our sky will look partly cloudy overnight. We’re down into the mid to upper 30s for lows. It will be a chilly start to Thursday but afternoon temps should be rather mild in the mid to upper 60s. High pressure will drift farther east us allowing southerly winds to increase moisture and warm the air even more. Despite the moisture increase, the rain holds off. That will change as our weather pattern become more active over the weekend.
Looks like another wet weekend is setting up for our area. The ridge of high pressure moves farther away and that allows a frontal boundary to advance eastward into the region. Temps will begin warming and we’re expecting 70s for highs Friday and Saturday. Along with the warm up will come increasing moisture. Rain and storms return Friday night into Saturday and we’re in a rainy weather pattern through Monday. This event looks to be rain with embedded t-storms at times. Some of the storms could be strong with heavy rain and gusty winds.
