Troy’s Grayson Stewart earns Sun Belt Preseason Pitcher of the Year and Troy comes in third in the preseason poll

Troy junior right handed pitcher Grayson Stewart earns Sun Belt Preseason Pitcher of the Year honors. In addition, Stewart was also named to the Preseason All- Sun Belt Team alongside teammates Shane Lewis and Noah Manning.
Last season Stewart also earned All-Sun Belt First Team honor after recording a 3.65 ERA over 17 starts. During the 2023 season Stewart struck out 94 batters in 91.1 innings of work and held opponents to a .247 batting average.
During the Trojans post season run in the Tuscaloosa Regional Stewart started twice against the Boston College Eagles and held them to just one run on four hits over six innings as the Trojans faced elimination.
Also during the 2023 season, Troy won 14 of the 17 games where Stewart was the starter.
