Very warm early this week, daily chances for rain through Friday
Sunday was a pleasant winter day across central and south Alabama. Temperatures were cold during the early morning, with lows in the low to mid 30s. However, daytime highs were in the low and even mid 70s in most locations. Winds were much lighter than Saturday throughout the day. Meanwhile, the sky was near-cloudless from sunrise to sunset. The sky remains mainly clear Sunday night, with lows in the low to mid 40s.
Temperatures trend even warmer this week, in the mid and potentially upper 70s Monday and Tuesday. Rain returns Wednesday as another cold front pushes into the southeast. Clouds and some showers linger Thursday. The rain chance increases again Friday. Rain also appears possible next weekend. However, the coverage looks more spotty at this time. Otherwise, next weekend looks mostly cloudy.
