Showers And A Few Storms Overnight

A frontal boundary is approaching our area and will move through overnight. It will bring in a round of rain along with a few rumbles of thunder.  It’s a fairly minor system but you will notice a brief cool down coming in behind it. Daytime temps won’t be quite as warm and overnights will trend a little colder.

In the meantime, we’re in line for a round of showers overnight into Friday morning. A rumble of thunder can’t be ruled out but it looks like a rather tame system passing through here. Rainfall amounts will stay below a half an inch. Winds are expected to be southerly at 10 to 15 with gust up to 30 mph.

We’re on the backside of the frontal system Friday. Looks like skies will clear out once again and another round of sunny skies along with warming temps. A very brief cool down will come in behind the front initially but we’re right back in the 70s by Sunday afternoon. High pressure will settle over the region and that’s going to allow for another quiet weather pattern for several days. We could see mid to upper 70s by Monday and Tuesday of next week. A cold front will enter the picture Wednesday. Rain and storms are likely to form along and ahead of the system. We will be watching this system a little closer because of the significant warm up ahead of it. Often times, frontal system clashing into this type warm can lead to strong or possibly severe storms. We will keep you posted.
