Alabama Kidney Foundation kicks of Kidney Walk campaign
The Alabama Kidney Foundation is kicking off its Kidney Walk campaign.
A luncheon was held Friday at the RSA Activity Center in downtown Montgomery.
Walk participants were able to get information to begin fundraising for the next few months for the walk that is scheduled for May 4.
Organizers say every dollar that is raised will stay in the Montgomery area to help kidney patients in need.
“Today is the day to inspire and encourage and motivate everyone that comes together every single year,” Shannon Morrell with the Alabama Kidney Foundation said.
Last year, the Alabama Kidney Foundation raised over $250,000 for Central Alabama.
