Showers On The Way For Midweek
Spring-like warmth continues into midweek. The weather pattern will become more active as the week progresses. A couple rounds of rain and possibly storms will move through.
In the meantime, a very mild air mass is in place and we’re getting a taste of spring. Southerly winds will transport in the warmer air. Temps will climb into the upper 70s through Wednesday. Along with the warmth comes increasing gulf moisture. Clouds will continue to increase and showers will eventually follow. Those southerly winds will range between 10 to 20 mph with gust up to 25-30 mph.
A frontal boundary will make a run at the state midweek. This boundary will help kick off a line of showers. It will be a very narrow line and rainfall will be rather light. The winds behind the front become northwesterly and that will bring in cooler air. Temps will drop back into the 60s for highs Thursday. Our sky will stay mostly cloudy but we’re dry Thursday. More rain will work back into the area Friday and linger into part of the weekend.
