The 2024 Bryant-Jordan Program Regional Scholar-Athlete and Achievement winners announced

The Bryant-Jordan Student-Athlete Program, which is now in its 37th year, has announced its 2024 regional winners.
Each of this year’s regional recipients will receive a $3,000 scholarship. Out of the pool of regional recipients that were named, the Bryant-Jordan Selection Committee will then selected class winners as well as the recipients of the Larry D. Striplin, Jr., Scholar-Athlete state award and the Ken & Betty Joy Blankenship Achievement state award. The student-athletes that are chosen as class award winners will be given an additional $3,500 scholarship. Two student-athletes will be chose as the the state award recipients will receive an additional $4,000 in scholarship funds.
The regional winner will also be eligible for other scholarships including; the Dr. Gaylon McCollough Medical Scholarship; the Herman L. “Bubba” Scott Coach’s Scholarship; the W. Edgar Welden Service Award scholarship (two awarded); the United Methodist Children’s Home scholarships (two awarded); the Auburn Football Lettermen’s Scholarships (two awarded); and the Alabama “A” Club Educational & Charitable Foundation Scholarships (two awarded).
In addition, several in-state colleges and junior colleges will present additional scholarships as well. Among the colleges involved with the Bryant-Jordan Program are: Auburn University, Jacksonville State University; Samford University; Troy University; The University of Alabama; The University of Alabama-Birmingham; the University of Alabama-Huntsville; the University of Montevallo; The University of North Alabama; the University of South Alabama; and the University of West Alabama.
Community colleges offering scholarships include: Beville State; Calhoun; Chattahoochee Valley; Gadsden State; Jefferson State; Northeast Alabama; Northwest-Shoals; Shelton State; Snead State; and Wallace State. Each high school in the AHSAA may nominate one senior student-athlete in each of the two categories. All students nominated become eligible for the college and community college awards.
