3 Degree Guarantee: March of Dimes gets $1,350 check
We are starting a new month by handing out another 3 Degree Guarantee check to a local charity.
The Johnny Adams Law Firm and Action 8 News are giving a check to the local March of Dimes.
We are presenting a check for $1,350, which is what we raised in February for getting Montgomery’s high temperature correct in our weather forecasts, within three degrees.
The March of Dimes helps families who are welcoming babies born prematurely.
“In Alabama, we get an F on our premature birth report card, because we just have so many babies being born way too early here locally and all across the state. So, we are working on figuring out what we can do to help those moms have full term pregnancies. Is there any like connecting link that we can find? So, we’re supporting the research that is working on that as well,” Ashley Gorum of the March of Dimes said.
“March of Dimes, they’ve been around for over 80 years. They focus on helping mothers and babies. It’s a wonderful program trying to ensure that all babies are born healthy. It is a worthy program and it’s just great to be here and be a part of this program and to make a contribution to them,” Johnny Adams of the Johnny Adams Law Firm said.

The money grows during the month, to produce a big check that we give to charities right here in our area.
