Auburn breaks ground on new Coca-Cola facility

A new Coca-Cola United facility is coming soon to the City of Auburn.

The Auburn Coca-Cole Bottling Company will sit on a 15-acre property off West Veterans Boulevard.

The $18 million facility will include a sales center, warehouse and office space.

Officials say the facility will serve as a main hub to distribute products throughout Chambers, Coosa, Elmore, Lee, Macon, Randolph, Russell and Tallapoosa counties, including Troup County in Georgia.

The Coca-Cola facility will bring about 75 new jobs to East Alabama.

It is expected to open in sometime in 2025.
