Sunshine, cooler, breezy Monday; A freeze likely Monday night

Sunday was cloudy, cool, and wet across central and south Alabama. Clouds and rain kept high temperatures in the 50s in many locations. The high temperature was only 59° in Montgomery. Rain amounts were between half an inch and three quarters of an inch in most locations. Rain departed late Sunday afternoon. Clouds linger Sunday night, but break apart a bit with a partly cloudy sky. Temperature turn cooler, with lows in the mid 40s to near 50°

Sunshine returns in greater supply this week. However, temperatures turn cooler as spring officially gets underway. Monday looks cool and breezy with highs in the 60s. Monday night lows fall to near freezing (32°). Tuesday remains cool, with highs in the 60s. Tuesday night lows fall into the 30s. Wednesday looks a bit warmer, with highs in the low 70s. Clouds increase Thursday, with a small chance for rain. Rain could be a bit more likely Friday.
