Rain Returns Heading Into The Upcoming Weekend
Spring has sprung and we’re starting to feel the warmth. The colder air mass has departed and that will make it a bit milder overnight. Our March sunshine will give our temps a boost and we’re expecting mid to upper 70s Thursday. Enjoy while it last because a rainy and cooler day is setting up for Friday.
In the meantime, partly cloudy skies are on tap for tonight. Temps will only fall into the mid to upper 40s for lows. Temps will easlly climb into the mid 70s Thursday afternoon. It will no doubt be the warmest day of the week.
Our next weather maker will be an area of low pressure moving across the northern gulf coast region Friday. It’s track will bring in clouds and rain for us. Anything stronger will stay well to our south. We expect a cloudy and rainy Friday around here. The backside of the disturbance will linger into some of Saturday as well. It’s looking mostly cloudy with some showers early Saturday but full sunshine over us Sunday. Temps will reach the mid to upper 60s Saturday and lower 70s for highs Sunday.
Looking into next week, we’re going to be watching the development of a system approaching us early Tuesday. It will be a cold front and there’s the potential for storms ahead and along the frontal boundary. We shall keep you posted on any severe storm threats.
