The Shepherd’s Table Services Approximately 1300 Families in Butler County per Month

According to Feed America one in 5 people face hunger in every county within the state of Alabama.

That’s why Shepherd’s Table in Greenville is doing their part to combat hunger within Butler County. With help from community leaders, local churches and businesses fifty volunteers  provide fresh produce, protein, grains, bread and meats to families once every week, servicing approximately 1300 families in Butler County per month.

As the prices of groceries continue to increase being able to help the community have healthy meals is a blessing. A blessing that they will now be able to spread even further with a grant from The Heart of Alabama Food Bank. The newly acquired grant will  allow The Shepherd’s Table to install a walk-in freezer which will enable them to serve even more families.
