Sunshine Returns Over The Weekend

A disturbance moving over the deep south will help generate areas of rain over us through early Saturday. Fortunately, the system doesn’t stick around long and we’re expecting sunshine to return.

For now,  cloudy skies along with periods of rain are likely through the evening and overnight hours. Rainfall potential will range between .25 to 1.00″.  Any storm development would favor extreme south Alabama into the panhandle.

The backside of the disturbance will linger into some of Saturday as well. It’s looking mostly cloudy with some showers through midday Saturday. The winds will be rather strong at times. Sustained winds of 10-20 mph with gust as high as 30 mph.  Improving weather conditions are in store for Sunday. We get back to sunny skies and temps warm nicely into the lower to mid 70s Sunday afternoon,

Looking into next week, we’re going to be watching the development of a system approaching us early Tuesday. It will be a cold front and there’s the potential for storms ahead and along the frontal boundary. We shall keep you posted on any severe storm threats.
