Easter Bunny flies in, hops out of the plane to greet excited children at the Prattville Airport
Lots of people in Prattville were looking up at the sky on Saturday because the Easter Bunny made an extra special entrance. Dozens of children ages ten and under came to the Easter Egg Hunt and Luau at the Prattville Airport to watch in amazement as the Easter Bunny flew in and then hopped out of the plane. Kids then hunted for more than 25 hundred colorful eggs. This is an annual event, and children also received a basket, a lei, a beach ball, and coloring book. They also played games and chowed down on snacks. The event cost $5 and all the money raised benefits Easterseals of Central Alabama.
Varina Mead is the Director of Marketing for Easterseals Central Alabama and says, “We’re really excited that Cloud 9 Aviation and the Prattville Airport was willing to come and really step up and fill this need we had to raise money for us – we’re going to be using it to provide medical equipment for people who cannot afford it.”
Elisabeth Gardner is the Marketing Manager for Cloud 9 Aviation. She says, “We love to do things for the community! We love to do things for non profits – this time it was Easterseals. We just love to do things to help charities in the River Region and raise money in a fun way. We call it fun-raisers!” The event was sponsored by Cloud 9 Aviation and The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce.
