Montgomery man killed in weekend shooting

Montgomery police are investigating a homicide that happened over the weekend.

Capt. Raymond Carson tells Action 8 News that 26-year-old Ronel Gomez, of Montgomery, was shot and killed around 9:42 p.m. in the 3600 block of Gas Light Curve.

Once officers and Fire Medics arrived, they found Gomez with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Gomez was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
