Both the Auburn Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams punched their ticket into the NCAA Regionals. The Men will be competing at the Tucson Regional hosted by the University of Arizona and the women will be competing at the Berkeley Regional hosted by the University of California.
Competing in the Tucson Regional will be Auburn, Arizona, Pepperdine, and Boise State.
“We’re excited to go out to Arizona, a place we’ve never been,” said Auburn head coach Bobby Reynolds. “There will be dry heat and hot conditions that usually play fast. I think the guys are ready. We finished the regular season in great fashion and they’re playing well in practice. This is what everything has geared us up for, the NCAA Tournament. So we’ll leave everything we have out on the court.”
Auburn will face 39th ranked Pepperdine in the first round.
Competing in the Berkeley Regional will be Auburn, California, BYU, and Sacramento State.
“I’m from California so always happy to go out there,” interim head coach Lester Cook said after the announcement. “I know the Berkeley area really well so personally don’t mind the location at all, but we’re traveling. It’s just a couple more hours on the plane so no big deal. We’re feeling good this week and we’re ready to get the tournament started.”
Auburn will face 42nd ranked BYU in the opening round.
