Pay It Forward: Tina Fuller of Rockford

Tina Fuller works as the youth and choir minister at Rockford Baptist Church.

She also helps run a food ministry called Manna Ministries.

“The reason I nominated her was because she feeds the community. She also provides clothes. She goes over and beyond to help anybody in need and my little grandbaby loves her to death, so she is just a wonderful person,” said Sandy Goggans.

Not only that, Fuller has been a role model as well.

“Taught me different stuff in life– how to mature, how to live my life for God. She’s really good at stuff like that. She is a great motivation person,” said Goggans.

We asked Fuller what influences in her life led her to be such a giving person.

“My mother was a very giving person. But back in 1982, I was 19-years-old and had three older sisters, and we were all three in college, and she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. But God is good. She lived another 32 years and had cancer seven times. But during the time the three of us were in college, my dad was the only income and First Baptist Church of Alexander City and the surrounding neighborhoods came and took care of us. They helped pay our tuition. They helped buy food, helped take her to the doctor. And I knew as I got older I could never pay that back, so I wanted to pay it forward to be able to help other people who have helped us. And I’m still in shock because I never expected this,” said Fuller.
