3 Degree Guarantee: Alabama Shakespeare Festival gets $1,300 check
Action 8 News and the Johnny Adams Law Firm are giving away another 3 Degree Guarantee check to a local non-profit.
We presented a check for $1,300 to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, which is what we raised in April for getting Montgomery’s high temperature correct in our weather forecasts, within three degrees.
The Alabama Shakespeare Festival says the donation will be used to help students get more involved in the theatre.
“This goes to our education funding, which is our camps, our summer classes and our fall festival,” Layne Holley of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival said. “These are our K-12 camps. They focus on Shakespeare, on technical theater, on musical theater through Broadway south and we have wonderful professional instructors who come in to our theater environment and these young people just really love these opportunities.”
The Johnny Adams Law Firm and Action 8 each chip in $25 every day that our weather team gets Montgomery’s high temperature forecast right, within three degrees.
The money grows during the month, to produce a big check that we give to charities right here in our area.
