Uniontown man dies in fatal crash in Perry County

A two-vehicle crash in Perry County has claimed the life of a Uniontown man.

The crash happened around 10:25 a.m. on Thursday on Alabama 183 near the 11 mile marker, approximately 11 miles north of Uniontown.

Troopers say 76-year-old Thomas Long was fatally injured when the 2014 Subaru Outback he was driving collided head-on with a tractor-trailer. Long was pronounced dead on the scene.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the cause of the accident.
