Man charged with shooting into Montgomery garbage truck

A man is being charged with shooting into a Montgomery city garbage truck as a crew was out to pick up trash.

According to court records obtained by Action 8 News, it happened at around 1:30PM Monday in the area of Woodmere Boulevard and Limestone Court, not far from the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.

As the crew was picking up trash, a worker said a man came up to ask why the truck was late and why he was being recorded.

Court records show that the man pulled out a gun and banged on the driver’s door. As the truck was driving off, the man shot into the driver’s side door, with a bullet hitting the driver’s seat. No one was hurt.

According to court records, the man, identified as 40-year-old Crandall Hall, has been charged with firing a gun into an occupied vehicle.
