ACTION 8 UPDATE: Police identify woman shot and killed near downtown Montgomery
ACTION 8 UPDATE: Police have now identified the woman shot and killed near downtown Montgomery on Sunday.
Police say 40-year-old Shayla Jones and another woman were shot at about 3:45PM in the 900 block of South Union Street, near Interstate 85.
The other woman’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, according to police. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police have launched a homicide investigation into Jones’ death.
