Rain Chances Remain Low Until The Weekend

A drier northwesterly wind flow has set up over the area and this will usher in slightly milder air for a change.  The dry air will provide us a fairly pleasant overnight period.  As for weather features over us. we have high pressure building in and we expect a mainly sunny sky with temps warming into the mid to upper 80s through the remainder of the week. Overnight temps will fall into the lower to mid 60s. There is one kink in the forecast and that will come late Wednesday into Thursday.  An eastward moving disturbance could bring some showers into west Alabama Wednesday night. The rain activity would then advance eastward across the area Thursday.  Confidence is a bit low but I’m not ruling this out.

Looks like we will be transitioning back to scattered showers and storms over the upcoming weekend. The ridge of high pressure will move farther east of us and that will setup southeasterly wind flow over the area. As a result, moisture streams into the state and scattered showers and storms will be possible each day. Temps will still manage the mid to upper 80s for highs.
