Marion residents speak out about water and sewage issues
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
Ongoing water problems in the city of Marion have some residents there demanding answers from their city leaders.
Residents are getting fed up with how long it’s taking for the city’s water and sewer issues to get fixed.
The city has received $3.7 million dollars in grants to help address the issue.
“At the very least I would like for the government to be able to communicate better with the citizens of Marion, what their next steps are, what they’re doing now to fix the issues,” said Samantha Coley.
“As a resident here, not just the mayor, you know I want things repaired too. And that’s the number one concern right now,” said Mayor Dexter Hinton.
Hinton says the city is now about to start the bidding process for the project.
