Rounds of showers/storms through Thursday; Dry, sunshine Friday

Wednesday started with a handful of showers and storms around central and south Alabama. Otherwise, the sky was mostly cloudy in most locations. Rain coverage was low through midday. However, a few rounds of showers and storms appear possible through Thursday. One may arrive in west Alabama late Wednesday afternoon, and move through our area during the evening.

Another may form overnight, and last through Thursday morning. Additional showers and storms may form Thursday afternoon. However, Friday looks drier. Models show a front passing through our area. Humidity may also fall Friday and Saturday. Overnight temperatures could be cooler, falling into the 60s each night. However, afternoon temperatures remains warm, with highs near 90° and abundant sunshine.

Some showers may sneak into our area late Sunday. Although, the rain chance looks low during the day. A better chance for showers and storms arrives Monday, as another front at least approaches the state. Models differ on the weather Tuesday and Wednesday next week. If the front stalls, chances for rain continue each day. However, if the front pushes south of our area, both days could be mainly dry.
