Montgomery man charged with shooting into apartment, injuring woman

A woman is in serious condition after a Montgomery man was accused of shooting into an apartment, hitting her.

According to court records obtained by Action 8 News, 19-year-old Keith Martin is charged with firing a gun into an apartment in the 1400 block of Stonehenge Road. That is just off Woodmere Boulevard.

The shooting happened in the afternoon of April 19.

Police say the bullet he fired traveled inside the apartment and hit a woman in the stomach as she was in bed. She was taken to Baptist Medical Center South in serious condition.

Martin is charged with shooting into an occupied building and first-degree assault.
