Driver license office in Union Springs moving to new location
The driver license office in Union Springs is moving to a new location.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says the office, which had been at 303 North Prairie Street, will soon be located at 201 Powell Street.
“We are constantly striving to make improvements to provide exceptional customer service in all of our Driver License Offices across the state,” said Holley Cook, Director of ALEA’s Driver License Division. “We are excited to announce the relocation of our office in Union Springs to better serve the surrounding customers and enhance convenience and accessibility for all.”
ALEA Secretary Hal Taylor said, “This move symbolizes the dedication and hard work the Driver License Division accomplishes on a daily basis to serve each of our local communities efficiently and effectively.”
The office will be closed for Independence Day, but beginning Thursday, July 11, residents of Union Springs and surrounding areas can visit the new office for all their driver license needs.
The office on North Prairie Street will close at 4PM on Thursday, June 27, and will reopen at its new location on Thursday, July 11. Online services will still be available during the transition.
Hours of operation will remain the same at the new location, Thursdays from 9AM to 4PM. Additionally, ALEA says testing must be completed prior to the office closing; therefore, no tests can be offered after 3:30PM at the location.
