Auburn and Alabama Football Learn SEC Kickoff Windows

Alabama and Auburn are now just 81 days away kicking off their football seasons. And ahead of August 31st, the Southeastern Conference and ESPN announced more game times for the upcoming season. New in 2024, all conference games are assigned kickoff windows.

Games can be in four categories: Early, Afternoon, Night or Flex.

Game Windows

Early (11 a.m.-noon CT)

Afternoon (2:30-3:30 p.m. CT)

Night (5-7 p.m. CT)

Flex (2:30-7 p.m. CT)

Alabama Football SEC Kickoffs

Alabama’s matchup versus Georgia to open up SEC play will be in primetime at 6:30 PM on ABC. Next, the Tide will take on Vanderbilt in the afternoon, which means kickoff will be between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Then the following week, the Tide will play South Carolina at 11 a.m.

Alabama Sec Kickoffs

The rest of Alabama’s SEC games will kickoff between 2:30 and 7 p.m. Therefore, they won’t play any early games besides their matchups versus South Carolina and at Wisconsin in the third week of the season.

 

Auburn Football SEC Kickoffs

Meanwhile, the Auburn Tigers have a wider range of game times. The Tigers have four flex games. The other four SEC games go into one of the other windows.Auburn Sec Kickoffs

The Tigers will play their first-ever SEC matchup versus Oklahoma in the afternoon. They’ll move on to early kickoffs versus Missouri and Vanderbilt. These games have 11 a.m. to noon start times. On October 26, the Tigers lock up a night game at Kentucky, which means the game could start from 5 to 7  p.m.

The other four conference games, including the Iron Bowl, will kick off sometime between 2:30 and 7 p.m.
