Luverne man charged with shooting juvenile in Brantley

A Luverne man is charged with attempted murder after a juvenile was shot in Brantley.

The Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Shawn Garner was arrested by Brantley police. He is also charged with burglary and certain persons forbidden from having a gun.

The shooting happened at about 2PM Tuesday on Maple Street in Brantley. Investigators say the juvenile was found inside a vehicle suffering from several gunshot wounds. The juvenile was flown to a hospital in Montgomery for treatment.
