MPD: Woman dead in city’s latest homicide on Troy Highway

Montgomery police are investigating a fatal shooting that left one woman dead.

Lt. David Wise tells Action 8 News that officers and fire medics responded around 5:11 p.m. Sunday to the 4000 block of Troy Highway in reference to a person shot.

Once they arrived, they found an adult female with a fatal gunshot wound. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Lt. Wise says another adult female has been taken into custody and charges are pending.
