Chances for rain return, but the heat stays on this week
It was a very hot and dry weekend across central and south Alabama. High temperatures were in the mid and upper 90s across all of our area both Saturday and Sunday. The heat stays on this week, but chances for rain return. Sunday night looks mainly clear with lows in the low 70s. Clouds increase Monday morning. A few showers or storm appear possible prior to midday.
A front may move into our area Monday. It may trigger additional showers or storms during the afternoon. However, some sunshine allows temperatures to warm into the mid 90s during the afternoon. Rain fades away Monday night. Tuesday’s rain coverage looks lower, with high temperatures in the mid to perhaps upper 90s.
The best chances for rain this week arrive Wednesday and may continue through Thursday. High temperatures may remain mainly in the low 90s each day as a result. The daily rain coverage might be a little lower, but not zero next weekend. Meanwhile, temperatures may increase again. High temperatures may be in the mid 90s Saturday and Sunday.
