Summer Heat Ramps Up This Week!
The hot and humid days of summer are here and it looks like there’s no real end in sight. We’re expecting mid to upper 90s for high temperatures throughout the week. There will be occasional showers and storms around and that could help combat the heat at times.
In the meantime, our sky will be mostly clear with temps only falling into the lower to mid 70s overnight. A drier northerly wind will be setting up across the area. This will bring down the humidity levels just a tad. A mainly sunny sky is in store for Tuesday. The sunshine will heat up the drier air and temps will easily climb into the mid to upper 90s. Our chance for any showers looks rather slim for Tuesday.
The rest of the week and upcoming weekend will continue to be hot with highs in the mid to upper 90s. We do expect there will be periods of afternoon showers and storm potential. Some of the storms will be capable of heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and gusty winds. Not everyone will see them but most will probably welcome any liquid relief from these scorching June temperatures!
