Fist fight on ASU’s campus prompts large police presence
A fight on the campus of Alabama State University prompted a large police presence Wednesday.
ASU spokesperson Kenneth Mullinax tells Action 8 News the fist fight involved students from Pearl Academy, an alternative school.
Mullinax said the external group rented the Acadome for a graduation ceremony.
Mullinax said no shots were fired and no ASU students were involved in the incident.
For the safety of the students and staff, Mullinax said school officials decided to shut down the campus.
No word on if anyone was arrested.
