Reward offered in Alexander City fatal shooting

Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest in the fatal shooting in Alexander City over the weekend.

Officers with the Alexander City Police Department were called around 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, June 23 to a local hospital regarding an adult male being treated for a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim, 26-year-old, Chavorian Williams, later died from his injuries at the hospital.

Investigators later determined that the shooting occurred at a birthday party and social event called Freaknik at around 1:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of Dadeville Road.
