Heat advisory Sunday, July begins very hot with lower rain chances

Saturday was hot, but it could have been hotter were it not for scattered rain and storms earlier in the day. High temperatures were generally in the low 90s. Showers and storms gradually faded away Saturday evening. Saturday night remains mostly cloudy, warm, and humid with lows in the mid 70s. Sunday looks very hot and humid, with highs in the mid 90s and peak heat indices of 108°.

The first heat advisory of summer ’24 covers all of central and south Alabama from 10AM to 7PM Sunday. Scattered showers and storms eventually cool many locations down during the afternoon and evening. Rain fades away Sunday night. Daily rain chances look lower as July begins next week. Temperatures remain hot, with highs in the mid to upper 90s each day.
