High Summer Heat Sticking Around!
An active weather pattern is going to hang around for the weekend. Periods of showers and t-storms are likely each day. Some of the storms will be capable of heavy rainfall, frequent lightning strikes, and gusty winds. Even with the rain activity, it will still be rather hot! We should see temps manage the lower to mid 90s for highs and when you factor in the humidity it will feel more like 100 to 105 degrees.
Early next week, we’re on the backside of a frontal boundary. We see rain chances decreasing but the heat really never backs down. July will start with more sweltering heat! Temps will climb into the mid to upper 90s throughout the week. Heat indices will manage 100 to 109. It’s going to be very important to slow down and definitely stay hydrated.
The July 4th holiday period is setting up to be hot and humid with isolated showers and storms. Most of them will occur during the late afternoon heating. The high summer heat doesn’t plan to backdown at all during that following weekend. All indications are it will be just as hot if not hotter.
