More Scorching Summer Heat Ahead

Our summer heat will be in full force throughout the week and holiday period.  Temps will manage mid 90s for highs but it’s going to feel more like 100 to 108 when you factor in the humidity.  Isolated showers and occasionally thunderstorms will be around each afternoon.  The better chance area wide will come over the upcoming weekend.

In the meantime,  we expect a partly cloudy sky with temps hovering in the mid to upper 70s overnight.  Tuesday starts out with clouds in the east and mainly clear in the west.  A few isolated showers are possible in our eastern areas during the day. Temps will climb in the lower to mid 90s for highs.  Of course, it will feel hotter with indices just above 100. Looks like a repeat of hot and humid conditions for Wednesday.  A few more spots may see a shower or storm but most miss out.  Everyone continues to feel the heat with lower to mid 90s likely.

The 4th of July holiday period will continue with hot and humid conditions ruling each day. Temps will hover in the mid to upper 90s for highs.  Heat indices climb to 103 to 108. There will be periods of afternoon pop up showers or storms around.  We should see a bit more in coverage as a frontal boundary moves closer to the area over the weekend.
