Second suspect charged in Eastern Boulevard homicide

Montgomery police have arrested a second suspect in a fatal shooting on Eastern Boulevard last month.

22-year-old William Melendez, of Montgomery, is charged in the shooting death of 22-year-old Noel Avido Lopez, also of Montgomery.

On Sunday, June 9, at about 2:30AM, police and fire medics were called to the 2100 block of Eastern Boulevard in reference to shots fired. That’s where they found Lopez dead from a fatal gunshot wound.

Police have also charged 17-year-old Yesman Bardales-Antunez, of Montgomery, with murder in that case.

Both men are in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on no bond.
