City of Montgomery Officially Owner of Garrett Coliseum

The City of Montgomery is officially the new owner of Garrett Coliseum.

In January of this year, the Montgomery City Council approved a motion for the city the purchase the structure. Garrett Coliseum had previously been owned by the state of Alabama.

In August of 2019, Alabama News Network reported that plans were in the works for a $20 million renovation of the structure.
